From the creators of Frozen Free Fall and Where’s My Water?, Disney Interactive brings you this one-of-a-kind bubble-shooter based on the hit Disney•Pixar film, Inside Out! 

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her Emotions — Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. Join Riley's Emotions on a journey to match, sort and burst memory bubbles, as you travel through unique locations inspired by the film — Family Island, Dream Productions, Boy Band Island, Imagination Land, Train Yard, and more! Play this bubble shooter that twists the puzzle genre inside out! 


Inside Out: Thought Bubbles began production in February 2014. I oversaw all aspects of art and animation. I led a small art team that worked very closely with Pixar to bring the world of Inside Out to mobile devices.

After seeing an early version of the film, we knew that the memory orbs would be a perfect fit for a casual game. We focused on a bubble shooter, where each of Riley’s personalities have their own special abilities.

UI and presentation was an area of focus for this game. Original concepts were inspired by the emotion control panel, but later became more abstract.

I created concepts and rough layouts for all progression maps. After the concepts are solidified, I handed the maps over to my team to model and paint to completion.

One of my goals for this game was to feel as close to the film as possible. I pushed the team to make the characters and environments film-quality, while still being optimized for performance. Every character had individual rigs, textures, shaders and animations. I reviewed all animations and storyboards, working closely with Pixar Franchise to ensure quality and authenticity to the brand.
